Bad decisions at City Council
City council has made a lot of bad decisions that are costing the taxpayer money. It's time for new people to sit on City Council with new ideas about how to solve our city's worsening problems, such as homelessness, addiction, transit (TTC and cycling and congestion), as well as the cost of living crisis and the effects of a trade war on small businesses.
My priorities
The number of small businesses in Canada is shrinking. Toronto needs to provide more support to small business owners. Our city has a drug crisis. Toronto needs to do more for people struggling with addiction. Toronto also needs to improve its response to homelessness, which is connected to addiction and mental health, cost-of-living and a lack of affordable housing. Transportation is a critical issue for our city. Ward 14 needs its bike lanes. We also need stricter enforcement of illegal electrical vehicles driving on sidewalks. Toronto-Danforth has a very diverse population. It's currently popular on social media to blame multiculturalism for the world's decline. I believe it is Toronto's strength and Ward 14's strength. I will work to strengthen individual communities in Toronto.
My priorities are mostly compatible with the three leading candidates for mayor. I have met Chris Alexander and Brad Bradford already and believe I could work well with either of them at City Hall, or Olivia Chow if she's re-elected.

I challenge authority: Example: I asked the TTC Board chair Jamal Myers if the TTC Board considered whether changing the name of Dundas subway station to "TMU" might be offensive due to the antisemitism on the campus of Toronto Metropolitan University that has gone unchecked by the university's administration. Mr. Myers did not respond.
I form good relationships: Example: in August, I invited mayoral candidates with public email addresses to videotape statement in front of the new Estonian cultural centre on Madison Avenue. 7 candidates made statements including the two leading contenders, Brad Bradfordand Chris Alexander(Olivia Chow did not have time.) Volunteer
We have divided Ward 14 into 4 sections. We need volunteers to receive a delivery of campaign flyers in each area. We also need volunteers in each area of the ward to distribute flyers.
